NYS Office of Children and Family Services is Hiring a Registered Nurse 1 Near Brooktondale, NY

Minimum Qualifications

Open to the Public: Licensed and currently registered to practice nursing in New York State. Must maintain a valid New York State license and registration.

Duties Description

  • Participate in nursing activities, including the preparation, evaluation, and implementation of nursing care plans to ensure quality patient care.
  • Act as health liaison.
  • Coordinate and schedule medical follow-up, including completion of consultations.
  • Provide first aid and emergency nursing care.
  • Monitor and order pharmaceutical supplies for each individual.
  • Attend team reviews and present information, as needed.
  • Meet documentation requirement i.e. obtaining & transcribing physicians’ orders, daily nursing note, health charts, medication regimen reviews and case review summaries.
  • Provide medication administration.
  • Maintain inventory standards for medication, controlled substances, medical supplies.
  • Participate in staff training.
  • Prepare clinical and administrative reports.

Salary Schedule for the position is as follows:

$91,776-$100,248 - Posted Hiring Salary includes the sum of the statutory hiring rate for PS&T Grade 18 and Geographic Differential ($20,000).

Employees hired for this shift (12 pm – 10 pm) will qualify for a shift differential ( $400.) and inconvenience pay ( $575).
